FSAE Turbocharger

Implementation of a turbocharging system for a Honda CBR600rr engine. Design and manufacturing of the intake and exhaust manifold to fit the Garret GT12 turbo on the engine, as well as a dry sump lubrication system to cover the turbocharger’s excess oil needs. 1D CFD simulations, conducted in Ricardo WAVE, proved that the GT12 will provide a significant increase in performance compared to naturally aspirated engine data, acquired on a dyno. Dyno testing will be conducted, after the manufacturing of the turbo system, to prove the performance benefits.
